Caritas Vitania will officially launch the social enterprise “Caritas Workshop” in the town of Rakovski

On November 25^th, 2018 Caritas Vitania will officially launch the social enterprise “Caritas Workshop” in the town of Rakovski. Its implementation was made possible by the financial support of Operational Program “Human Resources Development”.

Hand soaps and candles will be manufactured in the Workshop by the method “melt and pour”, and Caritas will provide an opportunity for work to people from vulnerable groups that are at a disadvantage on the labor market – people with disabilities, long-term unemployed, etc. The participation in the work activities and trainings, as well as the psychological and social support from the professional team will help these people to acquire work experience, to restore their confidence and dignity, to feel satisfaction and significance and to overcome their social isolation. “Work keeps at bay three great evils: boredom, vice and need” said Voltaire, and our colleagues from Caritas Vitania in addition to that say that they want to write down one day in the history of the social enterprise that “Work restored the dignity, confidence and respect to every person working in the Caritas Workshop”.
