Employees of Caritas from Europe Gather for a Workshop on the Issues of Social Entrepreneurship of the Balkan Region

Caritas Bulgaria hosts a workshop of representatives of Caritas organizations from Europe, working on the opportunities of overcoming the economic crisis in South-Eastern Europe by developing social entrepreneurship. The workshop is currently being held from 5^th – 7^th December in Sofia. Among those present are employees of Caritas organizations from Bulgaria, Kosovo, Albania, Greece, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain and Italy.

During the workshop the participants will share their experience in the development of social enterprises in the region, they will discuss the difficulties that they face and the opportunities to overcome them. Among the goals set are laying the basis for the creation of a vision and a strategy for development of social entrepreneurship on the Balkans. During their stay in Sofia the participants will visit the existing social enterprises of local non-governmental organizations.

The workshop is organized within the framework of the project “ELBA 2: Development of Social Enterprises of the Balkan Region”.
