The new Caritas report on support for Ukrainian refugees was presented in Brussels.
The publication summarizes key lessons and recommendations from the initiative that brings together eight countries from Central and Eastern Europe.

On October 16, in Brussels, the report “Key Insights and Lessons from the Ukraine Refugee Response Learning Platform” was presented — a result of the joint work of Caritas organizations from eight countries: Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
The document, coordinated by Caritas Polskа and with the support of Caritas Europa, presents the accumulated experience and shared lessons from the work of national Caritas organisations in supporting people affected by the war in Ukraine.
During the event in Brussels, representatives of European institutions and organizations discussed the future of the Temporary Protection Directive, as well as the challenges related to integration, safe return, and the protection of the most vulnerable refugee groups.
The report focuses on key areas such as education, social care, psychosocial support, and safe return, and outlines specific recommendations to the European Union, national governments, and civil society for more sustainable and effective support.
