Partnership meeting between CRS and Caritas Bulgaria

The partnership meeting between CRS Vice President Bill O’Keefe, the CRS Regional Representative and the Secretary General of Caritas Bulgaria was held on 22.11.2024. Together with representatives of Caritas Bulgaria, the Caritas Sofia Career Center was visited, which supports the integration of refugees in Bulgaria and their access to the labor market.

The representatives of the two organizations united around the idea of ​​continuing their cooperation in the name of a more peaceful and hospitable world, in which human dignity, mercy and justice are respected.

During the visit, talks were held with representatives of the teams about their work, successful practices and the challenges they face in providing these services. Staff shared how personalized career counseling and vocational training help refugees build the skills needed to succeed in the labor market, while language courses and interview preparation consultations improve their chances of finding a job.
