A total of 25 refugees from Ukraine living in Varna received their certificates for successfully completing a vocational course today. This gives them the opportunity to work as cooks, bakers, bartenders or waiters.

Among the course participants are women and men of different ages, refugees from the war in Ukraine. They are highly motivated to develop as professionals in their fields and to ensure their financial independence. After completing the courses, the participants can work and develop in some of the most sought-after positions in Varna and the region, both during the summer season and the rest of the year. Some of them are already working in their professions, while others are actively looking for suitable jobs with the support of the organization’s associates.

The vocational courses are part of the activities provided by the initiative “Access to the Labor Market for Refugees from Ukraine and Other Countries of Origin”, implemented by the Caritas network. The project is implemented in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). In addition to conducting courses, the Center also supports refugees through consultations, information sessions, and implementation of an entrepreneurial program.
