Caritas believes that the principle of solidarity should be a major approach to resolving the refugee crisis so as to guarantee fundamental rights and to safeguard the human dignity of people seeking shelter in order to save their lives.

We believe that caring for people in need means being able to donate dignity and we believe that the Bulgarian society in particular and the European family in general are capable of doing this step of respecting and securing this legal right. Because we believe that every person, regardless of his racial, national, ethnic, and religious affiliation, has the right to a dignified life, wherever he chooses to live.
