Lend a hand to an elderly person – give hope!

Caritas Bulgaria has launched its annual campaign “Because WE ARE PEOPLE”, through which the organization aims to help one of the most vulnerable groups in Bulgarian society – the elderly – in a home environment. From November 25, 2024 to January 31, 2025, the campaign will raise funds in the name of a more comfortable, loneliness-free and pain-free everyday life for people in their third age.

The campaign focuses on the need for adequate and timely actions to ensure the needs of the elderly, which requires responsibility, will, planning and implementation of effective measures and support mechanisms from both the state and business.

For over 22 years, the number of elderly people who are part of Caritas Home Care has been over 500.

The mobile teams of Caritas associates who visit the elderly person in their home provide not only medical and social care, but also emotional support. They often become some of the closest people to the elderly, whom they can share and trust.

The funds from the “Because WE ARE PEOPLE” campaign will help the mobile teams of Caritas specialists to continue visiting over 500 elderly people from different regions in Bulgaria.
